IZMO Q1 FY27 results: revenue Rs 65.38 cr, PAT Rs 12.20 cr, margins expand
Digital businesses stayed stable while semiconductor arm izmo Microsystems sustained its higher revenue run-rate, lifting profitability in Q1 FY27.
IZMO Limited reported a strong start to FY27, with double-digit revenue growth and a sharp improvement in profitability for the quarter ended 30 June 2026.
Key consolidated numbers (Q1 FY27 vs Q1 FY26)
From the consolidated financial performance table on page 8:
- Revenue from operations: Rs 65.38 crore vs Rs 56.51 crore, up 15.7% YoY.
- Operating EBITDA: Rs 16.39 crore vs Rs 9.67 crore, up 69.6% YoY.
- Operating EBITDA margin: 25.1% vs 17.1%, an expansion of +796 bps YoY.
- Profit before tax (PBT): Rs 12.20 crore vs Rs 6.00 crore, up 103.1% YoY.
- Profit after tax (PAT): Rs 12.20 crore vs Rs 6.00 crore, up 103.1% YoY.
- PAT margin: 18.7% vs 10.6%, an expansion of +803 bps YoY.
- EPS (basic): Rs 8.15 vs Rs 4.03, up 102.2% YoY.
Operating EBITDA is defined as revenue from operations less raw material/purchase costs (net of inventory changes), employee benefit expenses and other expenses, excluding other income, depreciation and amortisation, finance costs and exceptional items (definition on pages 2 and 7).
The same table on page 8 shows key cost lines:
- Raw material/purchases (net): Rs 2.22 crore vs Rs 1.58 crore.
- Employee benefit expenses: Rs 32.57 crore vs Rs 28.16 crore.
- Other expenses: Rs 14.20 crore vs Rs 17.10 crore.
- Other income: Rs 0.34 crore vs Rs 0.96 crore.
- Depreciation and amortisation: Rs 4.06 crore vs Rs 4.20 crore.
- Finance costs: Rs 0.48 crore vs Rs 0.43 crore.
- Tax expense was nil in both quarters, with the presentation noting this reflects available tax losses in overseas subsidiaries.
The Q1 FY27 highlights slide on page 9 reiterates these metrics and YoY changes, including revenue from operations of Rs 65.38 crore, operating EBITDA of Rs 16.39 crore, operating EBITDA margin of 25.1%, PAT of Rs 12.20 crore, PAT margin of 18.7% and EPS of Rs 8.15.
Revenue mix and geography
The export and domestic revenue mix on page 11 shows:
- Q1 FY27 export revenue: Rs 56.10 crore, 85.8% of revenue from operations.
- Q1 FY27 domestic revenue: Rs 9.28 crore, 14.2% of revenue from operations.
- Total Q1 FY27 revenue from operations: Rs 65.38 crore (reconciles to the main financial table).
For FY26 as a whole, export revenue was Rs 265.53 crore (93.2% of revenue) and domestic revenue Rs 19.35 crore (6.8%), with total revenue from operations of Rs 284.88 crore (page 11). The presentation notes that domestic revenue in Q1 FY27 alone (Rs 9.28 crore) is close to half of FY26’s full-year domestic revenue, reflecting the growing contribution of izmo Microsystems and an expanding domestic footprint.
The company also highlights on page 10 that exports represented 85.8% of Q1 FY27 revenue and 93.2% of FY26 revenue, and that its digital platforms serve automotive customers across 28 countries.
Business divisions and semiconductor momentum
Recent quarterly revenue by business division, based on internal management reporting (not Ind AS segments), is presented on page 3:
- izmocars: Rs 16.89 crore in Q1 FY27 (vs Rs 16.03 crore in Q2 FY26, Rs 15.56 crore in Q3 FY26 and Rs 28.75 crore in Q4 FY26).
- izmostudio: Rs 24.11 crore in Q1 FY27 (vs Rs 24.38 crore, Rs 24.47 crore and Rs 55.93 crore in Q2–Q4 FY26).
- FrogData: Rs 15.14 crore in Q1 FY27 (vs Rs 15.89 crore, Rs 15.35 crore and Rs 15.25 crore in Q2–Q4 FY26).
- izmo Microsystems: Rs 9.24 crore in Q1 FY27 (vs Rs 3.81 crore, Rs 3.73 crore and Rs 9.23 crore in Q2–Q4 FY26).
The commentary on pages 3 and 14 notes that izmo Microsystems has sustained its higher quarterly revenue level for a second consecutive quarter, with Q1 FY27 revenue of Rs 9.24 crore compared with Rs 9.23 crore in Q4 FY26, around 2.5 times the Rs 3.7–3.8 crore levels in Q2 and Q3 FY26. Q4 FY26 also included elevated revenue contributions from izmocars and izmostudio, while FrogData remained broadly stable across the four quarters.
On page 22, the company reiterates that izmo Microsystems delivered Rs 9.24 crore of revenue in Q1 FY27, sustaining the step-up seen in Q4 FY26, and describes this as roughly 2.5x the Q2/Q3 FY26 levels.
Operating highlights
Operational and business updates include (pages 3, 9, 16 and 21):
- Client additions: 170 new clients added in Q1 FY27, including 117 in the US and 53 in Europe/UK.
- Gross revenue retention: 98.5% on a trailing-twelve-month basis.
- Digital businesses: FrogData expanded its FixedOps portfolio across the US dealer market, with solutions such as FixedOps Mojo and FixedOps Velocity made available through the FordDirect ecosystem.
- Semiconductor packaging: izmo Microsystems continues work with the Centre for Programmable Photonic Integrated Circuits and Systems (CPPICS) at IIT Madras as Photonic IC Packaging Partner under a MeitY-supported programme, and is executing semiconductor packaging programmes for India’s defence electronics sector, including high-frequency RF module packaging and radar receiver module assembly. It has also developed a high-complexity silicon photonics module for space payloads (pages 3, 4, 18 and 21).
The Managing Director’s message on page 8 states that Q1 FY27 reflects continued progress, with revenue up 15.7% and operating EBITDA margins at 25.1%, supported by a stable digital intelligence base and a higher, sustained revenue level at izmo Microsystems.
